A native of Santa Cruz, California, Ben Marcus was an editor at SURFER Magazine for 10 years and wrote 130 issues of that magazine. He now lives in Los Angeles and writes freelance. He is a regular contributor to The Surfer’s Journal, Malibu Monthly, The LA Times Outdoor Section, Frequency: The Snowboarder’s Journal, SURFER Magazine and other magazines and newspapers. He has written three books, is currently working on three more and has a number of TV and movie screenplays floating around Hollywood.
